For many of us, waking up every day means turning off our smartphones’ noisy alarm, swiping our fingertip on its bright blinking screen, turning the lights on and filling a glass with water. These simple everyday habits (just try to imagine a day with no smartphone or even worse electricity or water supply) were introduced to us through scientific breakthroughs and technological innovations. These achievements, most of the time, we tend to take for granted. At the same time, natural sciences are still regarded by many as useless or pointless, “only for the smart ones”, incomprehensible, boring stuff, we once had to learn in school.
Well, science ever after takes these attitudes towards science under consideration and overcomes them through solid educational projects.
In science ever after we are always looking at science and natural phenomena with the curiosity of a child. Scientists ourselves, we are amazed by nature and inspired by stories of other scientists and their discoveries, innovations, and achievements. It is this inspiration we want to share with the world.
Furthermore, we believe that, by introducing people -and especially children- to science, we can have a major impact on their lives: from the developing of creativity and of basic problem solving skills, to the establishment of critical thinking, we are convinced that science can help create well-informed and open-minded students, professionals, parents and citizens of the world.
Science ever after presents amazing science experiments and utilises a variety of approaches such as hands on activities and games, drama techniques (role-play, storytelling, improvisation, etc.) and new media and other technological applications.
Whilst the audience experiences a unique, funny, interactive and educational science ever after programme , our goals are to:
- have fun whilst engaging audiences of all ages
- empower awareness towards science (and STEMs in general)
- enhance scientific background
- inspire
- promote critical thinking and scientific practice
